Blackboard

What is Blackboard?

Blackboard is Troy University's virtual classroom portal. Students in online classes use Blackboard to access their course. In each course, Blackboard is where you can see your syllabus, assignments, course chats and discussion boards, contact your instructor and fellow classmates, view course progress and many other convenient features. You can also access your Trojan Webmail account, general TROY information, your Trojan WebExpress account, and library services.

How do I access Blackboard for the first time?

You may only access Blackboard if you are in an online course.

To access the TROY Blackboard portal for the first time, visit troy.blackboard.com. You will see "Login Instructions". Note you must have previously set up your Trojan email account before you may access Blackboard.

We recommend accessing your online courses as early as possible, however, your course will typically not be available until just before class begins.

NOTE: If your course does not show up by the first day of the term, please contact your instructor to make it available.
